草木染めの鹿革

鹿革を草木染めしています。
化学染料とはひと味違う発色の草木染料。
いろいろと試行錯誤を重ねた結果、程良い手順に辿り着きました。
素上げナチュラルの鹿革に、刷毛染め→媒染→乾燥→丸洗い→乾燥→オイル塗布→日光に当てる。
染料液の濃度や刷毛の扱い、その後の手作業で風合いがそれぞれ異なるうえに、
鹿の個体の違いもあるので、全てが一点物の味わいです。
ほんのりと色づくように、薄く塗り重ねていきます。
柿渋はカフェオレ色に染まりました。
